Changes Coming to My BHW in November

Beginning November 21, 2026, identity verification will be mandatory for all My BHW users. Without it, you will not be able to access your account.

This includes:

  • Applicants to our scholarship and loan repayment programs
  • Current participants in our programs
  • Points of contact for our programs (site, school, or state primary care office)

NOTE: You will not be able to access My BHW after November 21, 2026, until you complete identity verification through either Login.gov or ID.me.

Login.gov is a U. S. government system, while ID.me contracts with both government and non-government organizations to provide identity verification. Both accounts meet the latest federal security standards.

Many government agencies already require identity verification, including the Internal Revenue Service, Veterans Affairs, and Social Security Administration, so you may already have an account.

How to prepare

Instructions for creating an account will be provided as we get closer to the implementation date. For now, we encourage you to learn more about the identity verification process and the documentation that’s needed to support it.
