Changes Coming to My BHW in November

Beginning November 21, 2026, participants, partners, and applicants logging into My BHW will need to complete identity verification using either Login.gov or ID.me.

This includes:

  • Applicants to our scholarship and loan repayment programs
  • Current participants in our programs
  • Points of contact for our programs (site, school, or state primary care office)

NOTE: You will not be able to access My BHW after November 21, 2026, until you complete identity verification through either Login.gov or ID.me. Complete this process early to ensure uninterrupted access to your My BHW account.

How to prepare

You will need either a Login.gov or ID.me account. You can create a new one or use an account you previously created for another government service. Both providers allow you to have multiple email accounts (work and personal) tied to a single account. You should add the email address you use to login to My BHW. 

Login.gov is a U. S. government system, while ID.me contracts with both government and non-government organizations to provide identity verification. Both accounts meet the latest federal security standards. 

Many government agencies already require identity verification, including the Internal Revenue Service, Veterans Affairs, and Social Security Administration, so you may already have an account.
