BHWET Program grantees help increase access to behavioral health care services.

When funding is available, you can apply if you are*:

  • An accredited institution of higher education
  • An accredited behavioral health professional training program
  • A behavioral paraprofessional certificate training program
  • A peer paraprofessional certificate training program

How do you support current BHWET grantees?

We provide supplemental awards for current BHWET grantees. Grantees and health centers form interprofessional care teams. These teams improve access to opioid use disorder (OUD) and other substance use disorder (SUD) treatment.

Who received recent awards?

In 2018, 21 grantees received up to $400,000. These awards are part of the HHS $1 billion initiative to combat the opioid crisis.
