Apply for the 2024 Nurse Corps Scholarship Program. The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is currently accepting applications through May 2, 2024.
The Nurse Corps Scholarship Program provides financial support to students enrolled in nursing degree programs in exchange for a commitment to serve in high-need areas across the country. The scholarship includes payment of tuition, required fees, other reasonable costs, and a monthly living stipend.
After graduation, scholarship recipients fulfill their service commitment at an approved location with a critical shortage of nurses.
The 2024 Nurse Corps Scholarship Program reserves special funding for certain disciplines and specialties:
- Up to $5 million reserved for students studying to be:
- Registered nurses (RN) with a focus in women's health or obstetrics (including current doulas and lactation consultants pursuing an RN degree)
- Nurse practitioners (NP) with a focus in women’s health or an obstetrics and gynecological specialization
- Certified nurse midwives
- Up to $2 million reserved for students studying to be an RN who have entry-level health professional certificates, such as certified nursing assistants, community health workers, mental/behavioral health aides, school health aides, home health aides, medical assistants, and licensed practical (vocational) nurses.
- NP students specializing in psychiatric-mental health programs (including post-graduate certificate programs)
