Loans for Disadvantaged Students (LDS)
Students must be pursuing one of these degrees:
- Doctor of Allopathic Medicine
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
- Doctor of Dentistry
- Bachelor or Doctor of Science in Pharmacy
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine
- Doctor of Optometry
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Is my school eligible for the LDS?
Your school is eligible if it offers degrees in one of these disciplines:
- Allopathic/Osteopathic
- Podiatry
- Dentistry
- Optometry
- Pharmacy
- Veterinary
How do I apply for the LDS?
- Read the SF424 instructions (PDF - 290 KB) and fill out the SF424 form (PDF - 144 KB)
- If you receive an error stating the document requires Adobe Reader 8 or higher, open the document in Adobe and select "Enable All Features" to view the document.
- Complete the Loans for Disadvantaged Students (LDS) Program Application (PDF - 184 KB) application
- Submit the SF424 and program application to the program officer.
