These training materials focus on readiness for interdisciplinary care, and health care access, quality, and cost.
The RTPC improves accredited residency training programs in family medicine, general internal medicine, and general pediatrics in rural and high-need areas. We encourage program graduates to choose primary care careers in these areas.
Am I eligible?
When funding is available, you can apply if you are*:
- An accredited public or nonprofit private hospital
- A school of allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine
- A public or private non-profit entity (the Secretary must determine that you’re capable of carrying out a residency training program in family medicine, general internal medicine, general pediatrics, or combined internal medicine and pediatrics)
