The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has opened the 2023 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program application cycle. Nurse Corps LRP offers loan repayment to registered nurses (RN), advanced practice registered nurses (APRN), and nursing faculty in exchange for a two-year service commitment at a health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses (or, for nurse faculty, an eligible school of nursing). Additional loan repayment is available for a third year of service.

The 2023 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program gives special consideration to nurses and nurse faculty who specialize in women’s health to combat disparities that put women at risk before, during, and after pregnancy. There is also special consideration for psychiatric nurse practitioners to promote the integration of mental health, substance use disorders, and other behavioral health services into primary care.

Check out the program’s fact sheet (PDF - 49 KB) to learn more about the program and eligibility requirements, and how to apply.
