The Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP) offers up to $250,000 in student loan repayment for providers working in substance use disorder treatment and recovery who commit to six years of full-time service at an approved site.

The program is competitive and accepts applications annually. If you’re eligible and doing this important work, apply now. Closes June 23, 2026, 7:30 p.m. ET.
