Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention (NEPQR) – Mobile Health Training Program (MHTP)

Purpose: Increase and strengthen the diversity, education, and training of the nursing workforce to provide culturally aligned quality care in rural and underserved areas where there are health care disparities related to access to and delivery of care.

Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention (NEPQR) – Pathway to Registered Nurse Program (PRNP)

Purpose: Create a pathway from academic training to clinical practice through the creation and implementation of licensed practical nurse/licensed vocational nurse to registered nurse bridge programs and employment of clinical nurse faculty.

Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention (NEPQR) – Registered Nurse Training Program (RNTP)

Purpose: Enhance nursing education and practice to increase the number of nursing students trained in acute care settings to address and manage social determinant of health factors and improve health equity and health literacy in underserved areas.

Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention (NEPQR) – Simulation Education Training (SET) Program

Purpose: Enhance nurse education and strengthen the nursing workforce by increasing training opportunities for nursing students through the use of simulation-based technology, including equipment, to increase their readiness to practice upon graduation.

Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention (NEPQR) – Workforce Expansion Program (WEP)

Purpose: Increase the nursing workforce in rural and underserved areas to address the critical shortage of nurses, specifically in acute and long-term care settings.

Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP)

Purpose: Increase the number of qualified nursing faculty nationwide by providing low-interest loans for individuals studying to be nurse faculty and loan cancelation for those who then go on to work as faculty.

Nursing Student Loans (NSL)

Purpose: Assist accredited public schools and educational intuitions in offering low-interest loans to degree-seeking students in the health care field.

Nursing Workforce Diversity (NWD)

Purpose: Increase nursing education opportunities for individuals who are from disadvantaged backgrounds. This includes underrepresented racial and ethnic minorities among registered nurses.

Opioid Workforce Expansion Programs (OWEP) for Professionals and Paraprofessionals

Purpose: Train behavioral health professionals who provide opioid use disorder and other substance use disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery services in high-need and high-demand areas.

Opioid-Impacted Family Support Program (OIFSP)

Purpose: Support paraprofessionals to work with families affected by opioids and other substance use disorders.
